McPherson College’s baseball team picked up two late additions to its schedule for Friday, losing a pair to William Penn.

Mac was held to one hit in the opener by Josh Ruiz, a single by Stephon Miller, in a 9-0 loss. Nathan Crowe took the decision. The visitors scored in six of the seven innings.

The Bulldog bats were more lively in the second game, but it resulted in an 8-4 loss. Seth Davenport and Matt Bryan smoked homers for Mac. Again, the Iowans scored methodically, tallying in five of seven innings.

The Bulldogs picked up the games since their four-game weekend road trip to play Wiley College in Texas was cancelled. Mac is scheduled to host Nebraska Wesleyan on Tuesday.
