Pairings for the MCAC’s South Division Postseason Basketball Tournament have been finalized.
Both Central Christian College teams will be heading to Point Lookout, Mo., home of College of the Ozarks, as the Bobcat teams had the best records of the four South schools.
Central’s men, who closed regular-season play this past weekend with a last-second loss to No. 9-ranked Bellevue and an upset of Waldorf College that cost the Warriors a share of the league title, play Central Baptist at 6 p.m. Friday. The teams split their two earlier meetings.
If the 16-12 Tigers win, they play the winner of Ozarks and Oklahoma Wesleyan at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The Lady Tigers, who closed their season with a win over Waldorf on Saturday, are the No. 3 seed and play Oklahoma Wesleyan at 2 p.m. Friday. Should Central pull off the massive upset, they would play either College of the Ozarks or Oklahoma Wesleyan at 3 p.m. Saturday.
The North and South winners meet next week for the overall championship.
