Central Christian College’s softball team is still looking for its first victory.

The Lady Tigers went up against arguably the KCAC’s best team here Wednesday, losing a pair of games to Kansas Wesleyan.

Central is now 0-6, though it’s been competitive in most of its games.

The Coyotes were an 8-0 winner in the first game behind a combined shutout from Nicole Gandy and McKenzie Draper. They scattered five hits, two by Cristina Insua — one of those a double.

Kristen Hall took the loss.

The Lady Tigers had a 3-2 lead after three innings of the second game, but it was all Coyotes from there as they came away with an 8-3 victory.

Insua was 3 for 3 with two doubles as she was in the groove at the plate. She pitched well until the sixth when the Coyotes scored three runs and they added two in the seventh.

The Lady Tigers’ next scheduled game is Monday at Sterling, but snow is expected.
