The KCAC foundation shook Thursday night, as No. 8-seed Saint Mary shocked No. 1-seed and regular-season champion Tabor 57-54 in the first round of the KCAC Postseason Women’s Basketball Tournament.

Tabor still moves on to the NAIA National Tournament by virtue of winning the regular-season title.

Saint Mary plays at Friends at 7 p.m. Saturday in the semifinals.

There also was an upset in the other half of the bracket as Sterling went into Salina and knocked off Kansas Wesleyan, 74-62. The Warriors will go to Winfield on Saturday to play Southwestern, which toppled Bethel 83-72 in the fourth and final semi.

In the men’s semifinals on Saturday, Tabor is hosting Friends and Saint Mary entertains Sterling.
