Wann, MHS girls take 4th at state

WICHITA — McPherson High’s Jasmine Wann took fourth place individually and the Bullpup girls were fourth as a team this morning during the Class 5-1A State Bowling Tournament at Northrock Lanes.

Wann had games of 231-254-185 for a blistering 670 series. She finished behind Rebecca King of Wichita Heights (714), Renee Howland of Topeka West (689) and Chelsey Harber of El Dorado (675).

The Bullpups came up short in their bid for a championship repeat. Topeka West fired a 2,258 for top honors, followed by Goddard Eisenhower (2,215) and El Dorado (2,147). MHS had a 2,134 to nip Carroll for fourth (2,127). 

Other MHS scores were Ashley LaSalle (26th, 145-159-206—510), Makenzie Benson (39th, 163-135-175—491), Alexis Kieffer (55th, 168-147-135—451), Abby Hughes (76th, 116-151-141—408) and Rhianna Smith (127-134-106—367).

The MHS boys are in competition this afternoon.
