GENEVA, Ohio — Bethany College’s Ben Hanson had a heave of 57-3 1/2 in the weight throw this past weekend and that gave him a fourth-place finish in the NAIA National Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Hanson's performance earned him NAIA All-American honors and set a new personal best.

Robyn Haynes set a new school record and personal best in the 600 with a time of 1:21.21. His performance placed him 13th.

Morgan Darden narrowly missed the finals in the women's weight throw, placing 10th. She finished in 23rd in the women's shot put.

"We had a remarkable indoor season this year,” Bethany coach Ken Ciolek said. “We had the most indoor qualifiers that we have had in over five years. We look forward to carrying this momentum into the outdoor season starting next week.”
