Except at the direction of law enforcement, drivers must not park:

next to or behind a legally parked vehicle (Double park);

on a sidewalk;

in an intersection;

on a crosswalk;

along a red or yellow painted curb;

alongside road construction;

on a bridge;

in a tunnel;

on railroad tracks;

on a highway, or in the area between a divided highway;

anywhere there are signs which prohibit parking.

Except to momentarily pick up or discharge passengers, or temporarily load or unload property, drivers may not park or stand:

In front of a driveway (public or private);

within fifteen (15) feet of a fire hydrant;

within twenty (20) feet of a crosswalk at an intersection;

within thirty (30) feet of a traffic-control sign/device;

within twenty (20) feet of a fire station entrance;

within fifty (50) feet of the nearest railroad crossing;

anywhere there are signs which prohibit standing.

In McPherson parking violations are $15 —except Disabled Parking violations which are $50, plus $55 court cost.
