Elyria Christian School standout Micah Redenbaugh has signed a basketball letter of intent with Central Christian College.
Redenbaugh was a four-year standout for the Eagles, who just last week missed making the Class 1A Division II State Tournament, losing in the championship game.
“I'm very excited to have Micah join our program,” CCC coach Chris Honeck said. “She's very smart on the basketball court, is an incredibly hard worker and shoots the ball very well. On top of that, she's just a great kid.”
Honeck said Redenbaugh is “a good fit” for the college as she’ll bring a lot to the court and the campus community.
Greg Fields, who coached Redenbaugh throughout her ECS career, is pleased she’ll be joining the Lady Tigers.
“I have coached Micah for seven years now and I can honestly say that there is no one who will work harder than her on the basketball court,” Fields said. “She will provide an outstanding defensive presence to the CCC team, and she will also be a spiritual leader for the team and the school."
Redenbaugh has been on the Bronze Honor Roll at Elyria and will major in criminal justice. She is the daughter of Martin and Rene Redenbaugh of Moundridge.
