SALINA — Central Christian College’s softball team put a scare into KCAC power Kansas Wesleyan on Friday before losing a 4-3 decision.

The Lady Tigers led perhaps the team to beat in the KCAC 3-2 before Wesleyan scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Kristen Hall pitched a dynamite game for Central, but took the loss. She led Central at the plate by going 2 for 3.

The Coyotes completed the sweep with an 8-0 second-game victory as the Lady Tigers were held to one hit, a single by Brooklynn Lemons.

KW pecked away with four straight two-run innings, beginning in the third. Cristina Insua took the loss.
