LEAVENWORTH — After splitting with Saint Mary on Friday at Light Capital Diamond, McPherson College’s baseball team made the trip to Leavenworth on Saturday and lost two games to the Spires to complete the season-opening series.

Saint Mary won 8-2 and 11-0.

Kyle McDonald had three hits in the first game for the Bulldogs, while Seth Davenport and Evan Willow had two apiece. Nathan Crowe pitched for Mac.

Errors led to a four-run Saint Mary second inning, which turned the game in the Spires’ favor.

Reily Martin and Shon Pinard had the only Mac hits in the second game. Treyton DeVore took the loss.
