Moundridge fares well on HOA first teams

Class 2A girls state runner-up Moundridge placed two members on the Heart of America League’s basketball first team.

Ashley Holler and Michelle Schrag were joined on the first team by Canton-Galva’s Cassidy Enns and Inman’s Abby Ropp.

Also on the first team were Jayme Sloan of Bennington, Ashlyn Wiebe and Megan Hendrickson of Berean, Kristyn Wedel, Kelcey Heinz and Jasmine Ingalsbe of Remington and Brooke Racette of Trinity Catholic.

Among the honorable mention picks were Naomi Williams of Inman and Cassidy Siemens of Moundridge.

Moundridge’s Colton Frazer was the only area boys player to make the HOA first team.

Others on the team were Josh Fief and Kyle Kierborz of Bennington, David Ladwig and Brandon Wiebe of Berean, Brandon Clark of Ell-Saline, Garet Johnson of Remington, Kyler Summers and Brylie Ware of Sedgwick and Dillon Walls of Trinity Catholic.

Canton-Galva’s Tanner Klingensmith and Nick Bray were on the honorable mention team along with area players Blayne Konrade and Hank Thiessen of Inman, and Anthony Otte and Alejandro Jimenez of Moundridge.
