CRETE, Neb. — Central Christian College’s baseball team apparently forgot to put the bats on the bus Tuesday.

The Tigers couldn’t put the bat on the ball as they were blanked in a pair of games by Doane College, 5-0 and 13-0.

Five different Tigers had a hit in Game 1, one a triple by Christian Herbig, while they managed just two in the second game, one by Herbig and the other by Clayton Cramer.

Cody Morton took the loss in the opener and Sean Day was tagged with the defeat in the nightcap.

The Tigers are 5-23 and back home for a four-game weekend series against powerful Oklahoma Wesleyan, which is ranked No. 8 in the country. Game time Friday is 4 p.m., with Saturday’s action starting at noon.
