More basketball honors announced

The “Sports in Kansas” website has bestowed more high school basketball honors.

The website came out recently with its boys’ honors.

McPherson High’s Kyler Kinnamon was named to its Top 10 for all classes. He was joined on the team by Mitchell Ballock of Eudora, Anthony Bonner and Justin Roberts of Lawrence, Blaise Gammon of Blue Valley West, Cooper Holmes of Concordia, Zach Jackson and Semajae Jones of Wichita East, Trey O’Neil of Scott City and Dean Wade of St. John, who was named Kansas Player of the Year. Overall Coach of the Year was Clint Kinnamon of St. John.

Kinnamon was named 4A Division I Player of the Year and Kurt Kinnamon was named D-I Coach of the Year.

Kinnamon, Drew Pyle and Payton Stephens were named to the 10-man Class 4A Division I first team. Stephens also was named to the third team for all classes.

Hesston’s Grant Raleigh joined Stephens on the third-team All-Class team and was named to the 3A first team. His teammate Tyler McCartney was named to the 3A second team.
