McPherson College’s baseball team dropped a single game to Fort Hays State on Tuesday at Light Capital Diamond, 11-1.

The Bulldogs are now 5-21 on the year.

The Tigers scored most of their runs early, leading 10-0 after four innings. The lone Mac run came in the seventh on an RBI single by Jimmy Fisher, driving in Evan Willow.

Both teams treated it more like an exhibition game, emptying the benches. Mac used eight pitchers, Fort Hays four.

Seven different Bulldogs had one hit each. The Tigers hit four homers on the day.

McPherson College is 1-7 in the KCAC and returns to conference play on Friday by hosting Bethany, with the teams playing in Lindsborg on Saturday to complete the twinbill.
