LINDSBORG — Bethany College’s Ben Johnson was named KCAC Golfer of the Week for his performance in the recent Chaps Invitational in Lubbock, Texas.

Johnson was 4-over-par for the 54-hole event, including a round of 69. He won the tournament title by five shots over Andrew Williamson of Wayland Baptist.

"Ben is certainly deserving of the award," Bethany coach Jon Daniels said. "He beat a very quality field of golfers to win the tournament."

In 2014, Johnson finished in a tie for 12th at the NAIA National Championships, won three tournaments and tied for first in another. He was named NAIA PING All-Region, third-team NAIA All-American and earned NAIA Nationals All-Tournament Team.
