FOREST, Iowa — Central Christian College’s baseball team charged back to earn a split with Waldorf College on Friday.

The Tigers pounded the Warriors 13-3 in Game 2 after losing 8-4 in the opener. CCC is now 1-9 in the MCAC, 6-28 overall.

Chance Carney wielded the big bat in the win, going 4 for 4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. Caleb Gorman, Christian Herbig and Clayton Cramer all collected two hits.

Alan Barker pitched a nice game to earn the “W,” going all seven innings and allowing only six hits and walking just one. The Tigers played errorless behind him.

The Warriors won the first game on the strength of a five-run second inning against CCC ace Doug Gove.

Carney and Herbig had two hits apiece.
