American-Scandinavian Association of the Great Plains will sponsor a special “Viking Dinner” on Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in The Swedish Crown Restaurant, 121 North Main, Lindsborg — open to the public with advance reservations.

ASA president Dr. Duane Fredrickson said firm RSVP reservations are solicited as soon as possible, to allow for preparations.  Reservations and preparations are in charge of Shana Everhart at The Swedish Crown, phone 785-227-8422.  The cost is $14 including tips and taxes, payable at the door.

Frederickson said: “We would like to have all reservations by Thursday, April 16, if possible.  We hope to have many ASA members attend, along with the public.”

Last summer some ASA members got inspiration for the event after dining at Flåmsbrygga Restaurant and Hotel in Flåm, Norway — and they brought back a “Ægir Viking Menu” as a basis for the ASA Viking Dinner.

An event committee includes ASA board members with Dean and Charlotte Anderson, Mary Anne and Karmon Almquist,  and is helping organize the dinner with Shana Everhart
