Softball Bulldogs stopped twice by Tabor

McPherson College’s softball team was on the short end of a pair of decisions here Saturday against Tabor, 8-0 and 9-7.

The first game was just a 3-0 contest until the final inning when Tabor scored five times. Mariah Wedel had two hits for Mac.

In the second game, the Bulldogs roared back from a 7-1 deficit to tie the game at 7, but the Bluejays scored two runs in the seventh for the win.

Simone Donaldson drove in three runs and collected two hits, as did Samantha Harrity (both doubles) and Savannah Lewis, who had two RBIs.

Mac is now 1-7 in the KCAC and 4-25 overall. The Bulldogs play Tuesday at Bethany.
