LINDSBORG — Monica Chapman has been hired as an assistant tennis coach at Bethany College.
"I have been playing tennis since I can remember and being a member of the women's tennis team at Bethany was the best experience in my playing career," Chapman said. "I am thrilled to join Bethany's tennis family and be a member of the Lindsborg community once again. I am honored to join Tony Swiantek in leading the tennis teams and look forward to the bright future of this program. Once a Swede always a Swede.”
Chapman, a 2013 graduate, returns to Bethany where she was a Physical Health and Wellness major. She was also a four-year starter and was a team captain for two years. She played in the top singles and doubles position her senior year. Chapman also was the Champion of Character award winner for two years at Bethany.
"Monica is passionate about Bethany College and the tennis program,” Bethany Athletic Director Dane Pavlovich said. “It is exciting to have her on our athletic staff and I look forward to seeing how her passion permeates through to the tennis teams.”
