LINDSBORG — Bethany College women’s basketball coach Brett Morehouse has announced the addition of ChyAnn Campbell for the 2015-16 season.
Campbell is a point guard from Stagecoach, Nev. She was a four-year basketball letterwinner at Silver Stage High School, and also took part in volleyball and track and field, not to mention dance.
She averaged 12 points per game and grabbed five rebounds per game during her senior season.
"We are excited to welcome ChyAnn to Bethany College and our basketball program,” Morehouse said. “During her visit this past fall, she made an immediate connection with our players and our campus and she is anxious to get back to Kansas and help us keep moving the program in a positive direction. In addition to being a good student, ChyAnn was a multi-sport star at her high school and we feel that she will only get better once she gets to college and can focus solely on her development as a basketball player. We also like the fact that ChyAnn is a coach's daughter. She has a high basketball IQ and truly loves the game and that will definitely help her transition to the next level."
Campbell, who has a 3.8 grade point average, is the daughter of Ronnell Campbell. She is expected to major in athletic training.
