NICKERSON — Smoky Valley’s softball team bounced back from two losses in its season opener to post two victories on Tuesday.
The Vikings’ Keni Campbell threw a no-hitter in Game 1 against Nickerson to key a 10-0 win.
Nickerson pitching, on the other hand, was generous with 15 walks. The biggest hit of the game was a two-run single by Jacque Hulse.
The Vikings strolled to a 19-4 rout in Game 2, scoring nine runs in the first inning.
Katie Bellah had four RBIs on three hits and scored four runs. Two of her hits were triples.
Campbell had two hits, one a triple, and scored three runs while driving in three. Kelsie Anderson drove in four and scored three and Hannah Lemen had a double and two RBIs.
Haile McClure picked up her first career victory on the mound. She allowed two hits and no earned runs in her four innings.
The Vikings are now 2-2 both in CKL play and overall. They host Kingman on Thursday.
