HUTCHINSON — Bethany College’s Aspen Bryant continued her outstanding golf season this week as she won the two-day Sterling Invitational at Carey Park by four shots.
Bryant, a freshman from Las Vegas, shot an 81 during the first round on Tuesday, but sizzled on the second day with a 77 for a 158 total.
The Swedes were second as a team, trailing only Kansas Wesleyan.
Other Bethany scores were Arianna Bryant (82-81-163), Lexi Pauls (95-88-183) and Rachel Meyer (109-99-208).
"The girls played really well the past two days. Aspen had a great tournament and especially today," Bethan coach Jon Daniels said. "Every one of the girls improved from their first-round score today which is good to see. I am proud of how they played and how the are developing as golfers."
Bethany will be in action on April 27-28 at the KCAC Championships in Garden City
