CCC's Sherman earns Top 10 finish

HUTCHINSON — Central Christian College’s Brady Sherman earned a Top 10 finish Wednesday in the Sterling Invitational Golf Tournament at Hutchinson’s Carey Park.

Sherman shot rounds of 78-76 to complete the two-day tournament with a 154 total, which tied him for ninth.

Sterling’s Matthew Smith was medalist with a 73-75-148.

Central’s Keith Cheuvront, who began the day in seventh place after a 77 on Tuesday, fell back into a tie for 13th after a second-day 80 and 157 total.

Other CCC scores were Mathew Hargget (84-86-170), Joshua Paine (87-89-176) and Dustin Rojas (98-96-194).

The Tigers finished fifth out of six teams.
