Mother Nature is going to have a lot to say today about the McPherson High Invitational Golf Tournament.

Blustery, cool weather conditions will greet the 80-plus golfers this afternoon at Turkey Creek.

Tee time is 2 p.m.

Joining the Bullpups will be Arkansas City, Buhler, Derby, El Dorado, Great Bend, Hays, Campus, Hutchinson, Maize, Newton, Sterling, Winfield and St. John.

Hutchinson’s Turner Wintz is the defending champion as he shot 71 in last year’s event and is one of the top senior golfers in the state. Also in the field is Maize’s Kale Reynolds, who won the tournament two years ago as a sophomore with a 67.
