TOPEKA — While it’s been a tough year for the Washburn University women’s tennis team as a whole, McPherson High graduate Casyn Buchman is doing her best to keep the Ichabods afloat.
Washburn is just 3-10 on the season, but Buchman and teammate Jodie Blackim have a 10-2 record in doubles. Buchman and former high school teammate Kirsten Holle are 2-1 in the matches they have played as a duo. Holle has been part of six different doubles combinations this year.
Buchman is the only Washburn regular who has a winning singles record, as she is 9-8 for the season. Holle is 4-10.
