POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. — Central Christian College’s baseball team finished a four-game road set with College of the Ozarks by coming up empty.

The Bobcats were a 7-3 winner Saturday in a first game that Central had led 2-1 after 5 1/2 innings. But Ozarks erupted for six runs in the sixth.

Clayton Cramer and Ian Eshelman had two hits apiece for the Tigers. Andrew Hightower pitched five excellent innings before encountering trouble in the sixth.

A big inning also decided Saturday’s second game as Central gave up eight runs in the fifth to suffer a 12-1 setback. The Tigers’ lone run came off the bat of Lee Stoops, who powered a fourth-inning home run. Brent Robinson added two hits. Alan Barker took the loss.

Central had lost two games on Friday.

The first game was an 8-3 setback, as the Bobcats scored two runs in the first inning and four in the second. Six Tigers had one hit each, with Stoops’ double the only extra-base blow. Doug Gove took the loss.

The best game of the four was Friday’s second game as the Bobcats pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off 1-0 win. Jhon Peralta pitched a marvelous game for the Tigers, only to take the loss. Clayton Cramer had two of the Tigers’ three hits.
