Lady Tigers come up empty

BELLEVUE, Neb. — Central Christian College’s softball team went 0-4 in the second MCAC Crossover Tournament of the season.

A summary:

• York 3, Central 1 — Kristen Hall threw a solid game for the Lady Tigers, but didn’t get much offensive support except for her own two hits. Chandler Gerk drove in the only run.

• Bellevue 4, Central 1 — The Lady Tigers managed only three hits, with Ashly Westgarth driving in Brooklynn Lemons with the only run. Kasi Kraus pitched well in defeat. 

• College of St. Mary 8, Central 0 — The Flames scored all their runs in the first two innings, striking for five in the first and three second. Lemons had the only Central hit. Hall took the loss.

• Waldorf 5, Central 3 — Waldorf scored the game’s final two runs to break a 3-all tie. Wesgarth had three hits for the Lady Tigers and Kraus drove in two runs. Kraus took the loss.

Central is now 8-26 on the year. It plays Monday at Sterling College.
