Two softball losses for Bulldogs

Friends University took both ends of a doubleheader with McPherson College’s softball team here Saturday.

Friends was a 12-1 winner in the opener, busting the game open with five runs in the final inning.

Simone Donaldson had two hits and the lone Mac RBI. Amanda Connell took the loss.

The second game was scoreless until the fifth inning as the Falcons scored two runs, then added three in the sixth and four in the seventh for a 9-0 win. Five different Bulldogs had a single each. Kaylee Lozier took the loss.

Mac is now 1-11 in the KCAC and 4-29 overall. It plays Wednesday at Southwestern.
