Moundridge man, Hutchinson woman receive Tanks of Thanks

April 13, 2015

Two area residents have received a special thank you for their contributions to the community. Donna Fry of Hutchinson, Kan., and Chuck Knight of Moundridge, Kan., were selected to receive free fuel from Tanks of Thanks®, a program that rewards people who do good deeds to help make their communities just a little bit better.

The Tanks of Thanks program from CHS and Cenex® retailers encourages people to nominate friends, family and neighbors for free fuel as a way to say thank you for doing good in the community. Each month, CHS and Cenex give away more than $5,000 in free fuel through the Tanks of Thanks program.

Fry was nominated for her work with greyhound rescue and adoption programs in the area. She was very active in a rescue group out of Solomon, Kan., as well as a program she developed with the Hutchinson Correctional Facility.

Knight was nominated for his work with various agriculture cooperatives in the area. He began working for the Hutchinson Co-op while in high school, and upon its closing, transferred to the co-op in Walton, Kan.. Now Chuck commutes 40 miles to the co-op in Florence, Kan., where he continues to show extensive dedication to the community.

Recently, Fry and Knight were selected to receive $50 Tanks of Thanks gift cards, which are redeemable at any Cenex location.

"There are people doing good things in every community, and these acts of kindness do not go unnoticed or unappreciated," explains Akhtar Hussain, CHS refined fuels brand marketing manager. "Congratulations to Donna Fry and Chuck Knight, and thank you for your contributions to the community."
