A special public “Viking Dinner” sponsored by the American-Scandinavian Association of the Great Plains will be held Thursday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. in The Swedish Crown Restaurant, 121 North Main, Lindsborg — open to the public with required advance reservations.
Firm RSVP reservations are solicited as soon as possible, to allow for preparations, according to ASA president Dr. Duane Fredrickson. Reservations and preparations are in charge of Shana Everhart at The Swedish Crown, phone 785-227-8422. Cost per person is $14 including tips and taxes, payable at the door.
Last summer some ASA members got inspiration for the event after dining at Flåmsbrygga Restaurant and Hotel in Flåm, Norway — and they brought back a “Ægir Viking Menu” as a basis for the ASA Viking Dinner.
