Mac women netters earn share of KCAC title

McPherson College’s women’s tennis team clinched no worse than a tie for the KCAC championship here Monday with a 9-0 blitz of Friends on Senior Day.

The Falcons were open at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, while the Bulldogs nearly won every match without losing a game. In fact, Mac lost only three games all day.

The Bulldogs are 6-0 in the KCAC and can win the championship outright today with a victory at Bethany.

• MAC MEN STAY PERFECT — It will be all on the line today when McPherson College’s men play at Bethany for the KCAC championship.

The Bulldogs actually lost a couple of matches to Friends here Monday, but still came away with a 7-2 win. They are 6-0 in the KCAC and the 11:00 match this morning in Lindsborg will be the Swedes’ attempt to win their 12th straight conference championship.
