LINDSBORG — For the second time this season, Bethany College’s Ben Hanson has been picked as the KCAC’s Field Athlete of the Week.
Hanson was first in two events in the Tabor Classic this past weekend, taking the discus (158-11) and hammer (172-8). He was second in the shot put (50-2 3/4).
"Ben is starting to come into his own. As he continues to go through the struggles of training and competing, the light is starting to shine," Bethany throws coach Drew Frizzell said. "This is a well-deserved award, but the best is yet to come."
"A well-deserved award. Ben's starting to piece some things together which couldn't come at a better time,” Bethany head coach Ken Ciolek said. “It truly is an exciting time for our team.”
Hanson previously won the award on March 31, after taking first place in three events at the Sterling College Invitational.
