MAIZE — McPherson High’s tennis team outlasted a very strong field in Tuesday’s Maize Invitational to come away with the title.

The Bullpups scored 26 points, winning two of the four divisions. Carroll (23) was second and Goddard (18) was third.

Maize Red and Maize South tied for fourth with 14 points, while other totals were Wichita Collegiate (13), Dodge City (6) and Hutchinson (4).

The Bullpups showed their depth as they won titles at both No. 2 spots. Gallagher Martin played singles and the doubles team was Kaden Stewart and Nolan Schrader.

Also for MHS, Andrew Snell was third at No. 1 singles, while the No. 1 doubles team of Luke Williams and Kento Aizawa also took third.
