Little River crushes Satanta twice

PRATT — Little River’s baseball team, ranked No. 2 in Class 2-1A, made quick work of Satanta on Tuesday, winning both games by three-inning, run-rule shutouts to move to 8-2 on the season.

The Redskins breezed in the opener, 15-0. They scored 10 runs in the third inning.

Kyler Cox threw an abbreviated no-hitter.

Grant Harvey was 3 for 4 with three RBIs. Driving in two runs each were Cox, Dalton Arnold, Cordell Moore, Tanner Schaefer and Tyler Karraker. Schafer had two hits.

The second game also was a 15-0 rout as the Redskins piled up 13 first-inning runs. Damian Martinez pitched a three-inning one-hitter to earn the win. Offensive leaders were Arnold (two RBIs, two runs scored), Moore (two hits, two runs scored, two RBIs), Schafer (two hits, three RBIs) and Levi Swenson (two hits, three RBIs).
