LINDSBORG — McPherson High product Aaron Marshall had a huge game for Ottawa University in Game 2 against Bethany on Tuesday, denying the Swedes a baseball sweep.

Bethany had won the first game in a walk, 10-1. Josiry Cirino had a monster game with two hits and five RBIs, while Sammuel Ramirez was 3 for 3 with two runs scored. Axel Sosa picked up the win.

OU won Game 2 6-4 behind Marshall, who homered and singled, good for four RBIs. Andrew Gomez took the loss for Bethany. Nicholas Ceccarelli had three hits for the Swedes and Cord Briggs furnished two.

Bethany is 12-12 in the KCAC and 21-24 overall. It wraps up regular-season play this weekend by playing two games Saturday in Wichita against Friends before the teams return to Lindsborg on Sunday for a pair.
