Baseball Bulldogs drop pair to KW

SALINA — It’s almost over for McPherson College’s baseball team.

The Bulldogs played their last road games of the season on Thursday, losing 11-2 and 18-7 to Kansas Wesleyan. The two teams are scheduled to play two more games on Saturday at Light Capital Diamond, which will close out Mac’s season. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs are now 2-20 in the KCAC, 8-42 overall.

The Coyotes exploded for nine runs in the second inning to take control of Game 1. Trevor Haycock led the Bulldogs with two hits. Corey Taylor took the loss.

The Coyotes had another huge inning in Game 2, posting a seven-spot in the fourth. Kyle McDonald had two hits to pace the Bulldogs. Colter Streck was dealt the loss.
