LINDSBORG — KCAC men’s tennis champion Bethany College dominated the postseason honors on Friday as the Swedes occupied three first-team selections.
Manuel Raga, Juan Mateus and Michiel Van Den Bogaert were the Swedes honored, along with McPherson College’s Joan-Marc Fajula Rodriguez, Friends’ Paco Wawrzinek and Bethel’s Logan Palenske.
Raga was named Player of the Year and teammate Bruno Campos was picked Newcomer of the Year.
Mac’s Ahmed Lahlou was voted Freshman of the Year and Bethel’s Jesse Voth-Gaeddert is the Sportsmanship Award winner. Ottawa’s Jacob Brendemuehl was the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Mac’s Justin Stuckey and Bethany’s Tony Swiantek shared Coach of the Year honors.
Lahlou and teammates Hector Carrillo and Hugo Ball-Greene made the second team, as did the Swedes’ Campos.
