Tigers drop two games to York

YORK, Neb. — Central Christian College’s baseball team began its final road trip of the season Friday by being swept by York College.

The Tigers put up a good scrap in Game 1 as the Panthers held off CCC for an 8-6 win. Central scored six runs over the final three innings.

Caleb Gorman drove in two runs for Central. Alan Barker took the loss.

A six-run fourth inning was the difference in the nightcap as the Panthers broke a 2-all tie with their six-pack of runs.

The Tigers were held to three hits, one each by Clayton Cramer, Reynaldo Echenique and Lee Stoops. Doug Gove took the loss.

The Tigers are now 9-43. They finish their season today with two more games against York.
