SALINA — McPherson High sophomore Jacob Lackey continued his good run of golf on Friday, taking fourth in the Salina South Invitational at The Muni.

Lackey shot a 76, which was good for fourth place. Ironically, he has been in the 70s in every tournament except for the McPherson Invitational, though weather conditions sent scores soaring that day.

Lackey helped MHS to fifth place as a team with a 340. Junction City won the title with 312, while Derby (318), Newton (322) and Emporia (335) also finished ahead of the Bullpups. There were 13 teams in all.

Other MHS scores that counted were Kaden Warren (85), CJ Steiner (87) and Sam Minnick (92).

MHS plays Monday at Derby.
