GARDEN CITY — Bethany College’s Bryant sisters are in contention at the NAIA Golf Qualifier at Buffalo Dunes.

As a team, the Swedes are in seventh with a 376 total. University of Jamestown leads with 339, with Southwestern and Kansas Wesleyan following at 355, one shot up on Ottawa.

Aspen Bryant’s first-day 87 was good for ninth, while sister Arianna is tied for 11th after an 88.

Bethany’s Lexi Pauls finished with a 100 and tied for 33rd. Rachel Meyer is a shot back with a total of 101 and is tied for 35th.

"The women fought the weather today. I thought Rachel played well today and the others had bright spots, but did not put a full round together," Bethany coach Jon Daniels said. "You never want to depend on tomorrow because it may not come, but that is the situation we are faced with and we hope to make up strokes tomorrow."

The final round is being played today.
