Bethany soccer adding Texas transfer

LINDSBORG — Jonathan Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas, will be transferring to Bethany College to play soccer for the Swedes this fall.

Ramirez, who comes to Bethany from Austin Community College, is a middle left-left forward. He played his high school soccer at W. Charles Atkins High School.

He played two seasons for the Millenium Soccer Club 94B, scoring 11 goals and adding eight assists. He added 17 goals and six assists over two years while playing with Tsk United. Ramirez added a year with Deportivo Romero where had scored two goals and had three assists.

"We are excited to have signed Jonathan. He has the ability to become an impact player and has demonstrated the perseverance it takes to get to the college level," Bethany coach Shane Taylor said.

He is the son of Ernesto Ramirez Cruz and Norma Moreno. He has a 3.3 grade point average.
