INMAN — Marion took both ends of a doubleheader from Inman High’s baseball team on Tuesday, though both games were highly competitive.
The Warriors piled up a 7-0 lead after three innings of Game 1 before the Teutons roared back to make it close at the end, 8-5.
Wyatt Regehr and Jon Landeros had doubles for the Teutons. Noah Tuscan took the loss, though he wasn’t helped by his defense as Inman committed six errors.
Marion nipped Inman 3-2 in the second game, as a seventh-inning rally fell short. Inman scored a run in the seventh, its first in the game since the first inning.
Blayne Konrade roped a pair of triples for Inman and Regehr had another double. Will McLain pitched well for the Teutons, but took the loss. Inman made only one error as it tightened things up defensively.
