LINDSBORG — Hits were hard to come by for the Smoky Valley softball team on Tuesday as Pratt’s pitchers were razor-sharp in winning both games.

Smoky Valley was held to two hits in the first game. Keni Campbell pitched a great game for the Vikings, but gave up two runs in the fifth inning and they proved to be the only marks in a 2-0 game. Both runs Campbell gave up were unearned as she allowed only six hits.

Kelsie Anderson had both Smoky Valley hits.

The Greenbacks bookended six runs in the first and seventh innings to spark a 15-1 rout in the second game. The only Smoky Valley hit was a single by Katie Bellah.

Halle McClure took the loss.

The Vikings are 5-7 both in league play and overall. They go to Larned on Thursday. It also was announced that their games with Hesston will be made up on May 4.
