Baseball Bullpups climb to No. 5

McPherson High’s baseball team, despite losing three of its last four games, has climbed to No. 5 in the latest Class 4A Division I rankings.

MHS is 11-7 on the year with one doubleheader left to play this season, that at home on Thursday against Winfield.

Topeka Hayden is No. 1, while the rest of the Top 5 includes Fort Scott, Buhler, Labette County and MHS.

Paola is No. 6, followed by DeSoto, Ottawa, Miege and Augusta.

Little River has dropped to No. 5 in the Class 2-1A rankings after being at No. 2 for quite some time.

Colgan is No. 1, while Troy, Mission Valley and Udall also are ahead of the Redskins. Cedar Vale-Dexter is No. 6, with the rest of the Top 10 including Ellis, Moscow, Sacred Heart and Valley Falls.
