LITTLE RIVER — Small-school baseball powers Little River and Ell-Saline swapped victories on Friday.

The Redskins exploded for 10 fourth-inning runs to key a 13-3 first-game victory. Cordell Moore was the winning pitcher, fanning six in the five-inning game. Little River pounded out 13 hits, including three by Grant Harvey and Kyler Cox, while JJ Porter added two. Porter drove in three runs, while Harvey, Cox and Dalton Arnold all had two.

Little River appeared to be on its way to a sweep, racing to a 7-2 lead after just two innings.

But the Cardinals charged back for a 10-8 victory.

Little River was held to five hits by five different players. Harvey was the losing pitcher.

The Redskins are now 12-4 on the season.
