MARION — After giving their all in losing Game 1 6-5 in 12 innings to Marion on Tuesday, the Wildcats didn’t have much left for Game 2, losing 12-2.

Marion stunned the Wildcats with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie Game 1 at 5-all, then the teams battled scoreless until the 12th when the Warriors won it in walk-off fashion.

Noah Eichelberger had two hits and two runs scored for MHS, while Nick Leddy had two hits and Kyle Stucky drove in two runs.

Caleb Frye came on in the fifth and pitched the rest of the way for the Wildcats.

It was all Marion in Game 2 as the Wildcats could manage just three hits, singles by Eichelberger, Leddy and Trenton Olson.

Dylan Sugars took the loss for Moundridge, now 3-13 on the season. The Wildcats play Friday at Remington.
