JV thinclads compete at Newton

NEWTON — It was as easy as 1-2-3 for the McPherson High boys in the triple jump Tuesday in the Newton JV Invitational Track and Field Meet.

The Bullpups scored 24 points in that event as Devin Cape took first, Drew Labertew was second and Tyson Stites was third.

MHS took only a handful of competitors, yet scored 84 points to take fourth out of 10 teams. The Bullpups also received a first from Austen Hunt in the discus.

The MHS girls, taking a smattering of entries, scored 11 points, but 10 came from Priscilla Martinez, as she won the discus.
