McPherson College soccer coach Doug Quint has added an outstanding player from the Bahamas for his 2015 women’s team.

Sheryl Evans, a one-time goal-keeper for the U-17 Bahamas Youth National team, has announced her intentions to play for Quint and the Bulldogs.

"Sheryl is such a big signing for us,” Quint said. “She's a transfer with youth experience at the highest level. Sheryl has the ability to keep us in games. We are really excited to get someone of her caliber to commit to what we are doing here at McPherson.”

Evans has been attending Northeastern Oklahoma A & M College. She had played for coach Corie Frazier and the Temple Christian Suns in the Bahamas.

She has played in both the goal and on the field throughout her career. The 2013 NEO A & M squad was a regional champion.

She was the Class of 2013 Salutatorian at Temple Christian and a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Northeastern Oklahoma.

She is the daughter of Jonathan Evans and will be a Natural Sciences major at McPherson.
