Baseball Wildcats fall twice to Remington

REMINGTON — Six was the magic number for Remington’s baseball team on Friday against Moundridge.

The Broncos captured both ends of twinbill with the Wildcats, 6-5 and 6-2.

In the first game, Moundridge led 2-0 until the third inning when the Broncos struck for four runs. Moundridge came back to lead 5-4 after a three-run fifth, but Remington tallied twice in the bottom of the inning for the win.

Trenton Olson was 2 for 2, plus two walks for Moundridge. Nick Leddy scored a pair of runs. Kyle Stucky was the losing pitcher.

In the second game, Moundridge scored a run in the first and last innings, but the Broncos scored six in between to complete the sweep.

Olson and Noah Eichelberger had the only Moundridge hits. Chris Leddy took the loss.

The Wildcats, now 3-15 complete regular-season play Tuesday at Chase County.
