Friends University had the top all-around athletic program in the KCAC for the 2014-15 school year, as the final results of the KCAC Commissioner’s Cup were announced on Monday.
The Falcons scored 130 points to outlast Ottawa, which scored 124. Teams are given 10 points for finishing first in a sport, nine for second, etc. There are 18 sports in all.
Kansas Wesleyan was third with 109 points, while completing the Top 5 were Southwestern (107) and Tabor (100).
Bethany College topped the second division with 99, one better than Saint Mary. The final three were Sterling (91), McPherson College (88) and Bethel (60).
McPherson College actually tied with Tabor for third in the men’s division with 54 points, trailing Friends (70) and Bethany (62).
The Mac women were last with 34 points, just behind the 37 scored by Bethany. Ottawa had the top women’s program with 73.
